Metalbox Switch 3

Description

Metal Switch 3 is an accessibility device. Connects to a phone via Bluetooth, and controls it via 3 buttons: Next, Previous, Select. It is integrated into Android's and iPhone's, Mac and Windows Switch Input software and works wirelessly from a chargeable battery.

Use case:

Metal Switch 3 is designed for people, who cannot use a touch screen on their phone, or mouse on a PC. It is also helpful for mobile app and website developers, that need a solution to test accessibility of their product.

Motivation: problem and solution

Wireless:

Popular switch input solutions connect with a wire. Wireless connection is preferable because it easier to use, less chance of breaking the wire. Metal Switch 3 uses Bluetooth LE protocol, which is extremely lightweight on network and battery.

Three buttons:

Known Switch Access solutions have one or two buttons. We've added the 3-d button to enable navigation back to increase comfort.

Metal boxing:

Metal Switch 3 is 12x3x4 cm, but has an aluminium box with weight 134 grams. It insures stability and reliability.

On / off switch and indicator:

Metal Switch 3 can be disabled and enabled with a hardware on/off switch. When device is working, a green diode lights up.

Charging indicator:

When Metal Switch 3 is being charged, a red diode lights up. During use Metal Switch 3 periodically send battery charge level to the host phone/PC.

Type C charging:

3 Button Switch uses a Type C port with Power Delivery protocol. It means that device can be connected to any charger - phone, or Mac.

Replaceable parts:

Device doesn't use custom parts. Any part can be replaced. We also provide long term warranty. Metal Switch 3 can be sent back for a repair, or repaired in you local workshop.
